A B O U  T

My work is a personal response  to the land, the sea and the sky.
I live for part of the year on a small island in Greece and it's good to compare the extremes of colours and light.
Both equally inspiring. Both full of memories and ambiguity.
The series of paintings and prints Grasses' and Earthworks', were produced during the first Covid lockdown. A subject matter that seems to persist. The most recent  2025.
Lockdown, a short film,(see below) was completed in 2022.

From watching shadows thrown by the extreme sunshine in Greece, I  was increasingly interested in the idea of film collaborations. Over a 5 year period I worked in collaboration with my grandson, Christopher Lock. At the time studying electroacoustic composition at Harvard.  Our last film together,Learning to Breathe  on show at the 2019 Venice Bienniale.
Chasing Shadows  was screened at Jeju National University. South Korea.

I have exhibited widely and recently completed a solo exhibition in Bedford. However, I now prefer to work  to private commission.
The selection of sold and for sale work are pieces produced since 2016.
